Mrs Donna Anderson, Head of College has recently been discussing the success of our International Students with the leaders of Australia and Queensland – the Prime Minister of Australia, and the Premier of Queensland.

Head of College Mrs Donna Anderson had the pleasure of meeting the Prime Minister of Australia, the Honourable Mr Tony Abbott for discussions on education in Australia.

The Prime Minister was very interested in the excellent academic record of our Graduates, particularly our international students who have done so well under the strong pastoral care of the College’s leadership Team.

The Prime Minister congratulated the College’s international students and wished them every success.

Mrs Anderson was very pleased to have this opportunity to bring the success of Canterbury College’s international students to the Prime Minister’s attention.

At the Annual Chinese New Year luncheon provided by the College, Ms Dorris Xie (Year 12) student presented Mrs Donna Anderson, Head of College with a handwritten Chinese New Year message for the College.

Dorris advised that the message means “wishing for a thriving and prosperous organiSATion”.

Mrs Donna Anderson was fortunate to attend the annual United Nations (UN) International Women’s Day Breakfast with several of our International Students from Germany, the Middle East and Russia.

Mrs Anderson was privileged to have the opportunity to meet with Queensland’s Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Mrs Kathy Hirschfeld, Board Member UN Women Australia.
