(As young as eighteen years old, I had already grown into a master who could adroitly make and freely navigate aeromodels and a winner of a provincial-level award. But that was merely my personal achievement, and I was not satisfied with that. So I founded an aeromodelling team of my own, hoping to lead more people to practise their aviation dreams. However, the experience I gained in developing the composite materials in Harbin Aircraft Industry (Group) Ltd. made me realize that what I should do was to explore new types of composite materials and molding technique based on research on composite materials. What’s more, I also hope to realize rapid designing and molding, and realize the transition of the composite materials from non-bearing force pieces to half-bearing force pieces and then bearing forces pieces so as to reduce the manufacturing cost to the lowest level Thus the composite materials can be applied to civil fields to make aircrafts individual and affordable by the common people.)

相对复杂的设计而言,我更钟情于制造。再精巧的构思,再完美的设计,如果无法从图纸落实到产品,对我来说是没有意义的。复合材料及先进的设计制造一体化工艺极有可能成为多极力量的一支终结传统的飞机制造体系。这是我研究的方向。同时我希望基于此的研究能找到一条全新的生产模式大幅提高飞机生产率而提供一种时尚的、可负担的起的飞机。从而帮助更多的人实现飞翔的梦想!
(Compared to relatively complicated design, I prefer manufacturing much more. No matter how delicate an idea is and how perfect a design is, they are meaningless to me if they can’t be transformed into products from drawings. The forming of composite materials along with the integrated process of design and manufacturing will definitely announce the end of traditional aircraft manufacturing system. This is my research interest. Meanwhile, based on such research, I hope to find a brand-new manufacturing mode that can largely enhance manufacturing efficiency so as to provide a kind of fashioned and affordable aircraft to enable mankind’s flying dream come to a reality!)

(A teacher can only instruct a limited number of students, whereas an educational researcher can make a far-reaching impact on the whole world by breaking through traditional educational models and theories.
